1. Personal data
Personal data within the meaning of Section 4 (1) GDPR are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information that is not directly associated with your real identity – such as favourite websites or number of users of a page – is not personal data.

These data are only collected, used and, if necessary, transmitted by us, provided that the legislator expressly permits such (this means that there is explicit legal authorisation) or you as a user agree to the collection, processing, use and transmission of the data.

2. Server log files

  • Name of the website,
  • File,
  • Date,
  • Data volume,
  • Web browser and web browser version,
  • Operating system,
  • Domain name of your internet provider,
  • So-called referrer URL (the page from which you came to our pages – e.g. Google in the context of a search query) and the IP address.

Without this data it would not be technically possible to deliver and present the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of the data is absolutely necessary.

3. Contact form
If you fill out the contact form on our website, an e-mail with this data will be generated and forwarded to us. In this context, the information you provided will first be stored in order to be able to answer your enquiry and ask possible follow-up questions. As a rule, erasure takes place at the latest after 3 months if the law firm is not retained. Otherwise, we are obliged to keep the files for 5 years.

By filling out the contact form, personal data such as title, first name, surname, address, postal code, city, e-mail address, connection data (e.g. IP address) and telephone number are collected in order to be able to offer and carry out our services properly. Insofar as further data can be provided in addition to the mandatory data, such information is voluntary. Mandatory data fields are marked as such.

4. Use of personal data; contract data processing
We assure you that all personal data will be treated confidentially and that we will observe the relevant statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation, the new version of the German Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act, when processing and using data.

The data necessary for the transaction will be stored and processed by us. The processing serves in particular to answer your enquiry. In this context, we manage your personal data to communicate with you and for the purpose of preparing and carrying out the consultation.

Further use of your data will only take place if you have given your consent.

In the context of the processing and use of personal data, we partly make use of a service provider that carries out or supports processing and usage procedures technically at our instructions. The service provider is obliged to comply with the statutory data protection regulations to the same extent as we are and also treats personal data confidentially; the statutory provisions on contract data processing, in particular the conclusion of a corresponding agreement and the monitoring of the service provider, are guaranteed.

5. Right to information and right to change as well as revocation of consent
As a user of our internet portal, you have the right at any time to request information about the personal data we have stored about you or to have it rectified. You can also revoke your consent to the storage and processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. In this case, we will block or erase data stored about your person in accordance with the statutory requirements. Informal notification is sufficient for this purpose:

Please note that in the event of the complete or extensive erasure of your data, we may not be able to provide our services or not be able to provide them completely.

6. Safety precautions
We take all necessary technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. Your data is stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. Should you wish to contact us by e-mail, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the information transmitted is not guaranteed. The content of e-mails can be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend that you do not send us confidential information by e-mail. It is also important for you to protect yourself against unauthorized access to your password and your computer. If you share your computer with others, be sure to log out after each session.
